We, Kees and Marjo bought this beautiful house in 2017; One of the previous owners was a Bask. In the Basque country, BAKENIA means a place where life is good, people are hospitable and you feel good. Well a name that "covers the cargo".
Department 47, Lot et Garonne is a beautiful area, with a subtropical climate, slightly hilly and therefore ideal for beautiful cycling and walking tours.

In addition, La Bakénia is situated at less than 2 km from Villeneuve sur Lot, a place with about 25,000 inhabitants with all kinds of amenities, such as large shopping centers, nice markets, a cinema, museums and even a theater, a small sports airfield and a horse racing track!

Gite Nissou

Gite "Nissou" is located against the main house and has a private terrace and its own entrance. The room is heated or cooled with air conditioning. In the living room on the ground floor there is a double bed (140 x 190), a dining table, a sofa and an open kitchen. The bathroom is in a separate room with separate toilet. There are 2 single beds (90 x 200) in the attic with fixed staircase. All the beds have already been made for you. A washing machine is available for guests.
The air conditioning of the Nissou gite is partially for your own account (0.30 cents per KWh). The unit is equipped with a separate electricity meter. The first 10 € are included in the rent. If you use more than this is calculated separately.

Gite Joini

Gite "Joini" is a separate cottage and has a private terrace and a private entrance. The cottage is heated with electric radiators. In the living room on the ground floor there is a double bed (140 x 190), a dining table and a (sleeping) couch. All beds have already been made for you.
The kitchen is in a separate room, as well as the shower and separate toilet. On the mezzanine accessible with ladder is a small double bed (120 x 190). Careful with small children in connection with the mezzanine!
A washing machine is available for guests.
