We are Rob & Ciska Ruigrok and moved in December 2017 from the overcrowded Netherlands to France, where we bought an authentic French farmhouse from 1839 made of slate in a forest area of 49 acres, in the middle of the Vallée du Tarn, a beautiful hilly green nature.

Our studio has the following to offer:
A living room of 6 x 6 meters with a bathroom and an open kitchen. This space can be heated electrically, while you can also heat the room with an authentic wood stove. The room is equipped with a double bed, a dining table, a chest of drawers, a bathroom with sink, toilet and luxury shower cabin, a kitchen with gas stove, electric oven, fridge with freezer. And do not forget the beautiful view over the La Libaudié site.

Through the living room you reach the children's sleeping loft with a roof window and 2 single beds with a staircase. A small space ideal for 2 children.

The studio is a stone's throw away from the main building. Next to the gite you will find a small terrace with a picnic table. There are also 2 garden chairs and a hammock.

The beautiful hilly area of la Libaudié is the perfect walking and cycling area. We have folders full of beautiful routes. On our own domain of 14 hectares alone, we have set out beautiful routes. The experienced cyclist will also be happy with hills up to 700 meters. The recreation cyclist can make beautiful trips with the electric bike. We have also set out fairly flat cycle routes along the Tarn and other rivers.



The fortress church St. Cécile in Albi built from 1284 is definitely worth a visit. From the outside a gigantic colossus with walls of 3.5 meters thick; from inside color, wealth, splendor and splendor. The church, the largest brick building in the world, contains one of the richest collections of sculptures, while the ceiling and interior walls are painted by Italian painters with beautiful frescoes. To pronounce as "rokkefor". About 40 km from la Libaudié is the town of Roquefort, where the world famous Roquefort cheeses are made. You can visit the caves where the cheeses made from sheep milk ripen and where the familiar blue mold is created.
